ASEANAPOL and UNODC Study Visit to Singapore’s Anti-Scam Command: A Blueprint for Regional Cyber Security
SINGAPORE – On February 26, 2026, the Executive Director of ASEANAPOL Secretariat, accompanied by representatives from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), conducted an official study visit to the Anti-Scam Command (ASCom) of the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
The high-level delegation aimed to extract critical lessons and best practices from Singapore’s successful operational model in combating transnational scam syndicates. As digital fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated, the visit focused on the SPF’s integrated approach, which leverages real-time collaboration between law enforcement and financial institutions.
ASEANAPOL intends to utilize this study as a foundation to develop a standardized Anti-Scam Center model for all ASEAN national police forces. By replicating Singapore’s successful strategies, the organization seeks to harmonize regional responses and enhance the technical capabilities of police officers across Southeast Asia.
