Courtesy Visit by Global SAR Resources to the ASEANAPOL Secretariat

On 16 January 2026, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Kuala Lumpur, received a courtesy visit from Global SAR Resources Sdn. Bhd. The delegation was led by Lieutenant General Datuk Dr. William Stevenson (Rtd), Executive Director, and Major Murali Bhaskaran (Rtd), Founder and Director.

The delegation paid a courtesy call on Police Senior Colonel Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat. Senior officers of the Secretariat were also present, including Police Senior Superintendent Huntal Tambunan, Director of Police Services; Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Subramaniam, Plan and Programmes Officer I; Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Hamid Abdul Hashim, Police Service Officer I; and Assistant Superintendent of Police Engku Nurul Aini’ Engku Malek, Plan and Programmes Officer II. The delegation was received in a customary and cordial manner.

During the visit, the delegation briefly shared information on ISAR 2026 (International Search & Rescue Conference & Exhibition). The discussion was conducted in a friendly atmosphere, with an exchange of general views. Both sides expressed their intention to maintain communication and explore future cooperation in areas of mutual interest, in line with ASEANAPOL’s mandate.
