Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat paid a courtesy call on the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on the occasion of his assumption of duty.
On 16 January 2026, Police Senior Colonel Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Ph.D. Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, paid a courtesy call on the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on the occasion of his assumption of duty as the 9th ASEANAPOL Executive Director for the 2026–2027 term. He was warmly received by H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia.
The meeting served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange views and information on the work of ASEANAPOL, particularly in addressing transnational organised crime in the ASEAN region, with a specific focus on the growing challenge of online scams. Discussions underscored the importance of cooperation among ASEANAPOL Member Countries, as well as collaboration with Dialogue Partners, Observers, and other like-minded entities under ASEAN frameworks.
On this occasion, the ASEANAPOL Executive Director expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception and the continued support of the Royal Thai Embassy. He reaffirmed ASEANAPOL’s commitment to working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy and relevant partners, including Thai law enforcement agencies, to strengthen regional cooperation and enhance collective efforts in safeguarding peace, security, and stability across the ASEAN region.
